Book Blogger Hop
One year Jennifer at Crazy-for-Booksstarted the Book Blogger Hop, so Happy Happy Birthday!! It's great and still going strong. There are so many people out there who love books, and it's great to interact with them.

On to the business at hand, Every week Jennifer hosts a blog hop. Put your link in, post a comment and you can discover a lot of great blogs. The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week. This week's question/task: Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once? Oh boy! When I started blogging, I told myself no more than two books at a time. With only two books at a time it was easier to distinguish the two plots. But as I've gotten more and more requests for reviews, I've had to change my reading habits. I read 3-4 books at a time and I take notes. Some people might feel that taking notes makes it feel like homework, but that is not the case with me. I think since I started taking notes I have written better reviews. The notes have helped me write more comprehensive reviews. If I had a different job and work schedule, one where I could read on the way to work, I think I could get away with two books at a time. But I drive to work, and reading while driving isn't the safest thing to do!!

Here are some blogs I came across:

Notes: A review of Nickel Plated will be posted on Tuesday. A review of The Tapestry of Love will be posted shortly after. I'm looking for takers for March's edition of What's Up Tweeps?!. Here is the question: With so many blogs out there, do you feel pressure to pick a genre/niche? Ever wonder how you can stand out among the masses? E-mail entries to bookangel224@gmail.com. I'm extending entries until Saturday. Happy reading everyone!

  2. Hopping by!

You know, there's a way to read while driving to work-- audiobooks are great for that. And for reading while loading the dishwasher. And reading while exercising :-).

I really should start taking notes about what I read. I actually did for one (non-fiction) book I reviewed, and although I didn't refer to them, I think taking notes helped me write a better review.

  3. I'm partial to the physical book, which is why I don't have an e-reader or listen to audiobooks. One day I will probably change my mind.

  5. Stopping by on the Hop. I'm facing the possibility of having to start taking notes, myself. I often have at least 3 going at once these days. I hope you have a great weekend. Happy reading!

  6. Hopping through. Taking notes is smart. I don't do that, but it definitely makes sense.

  7. Coming through on the blog hop.

I have no problem reading two books at a time though it does not happen often. I generally like to finish one and then start another

  8. I usually read only one book at a time. I think taking notes while you read is a great idea. When I get ready to write reviews I start thinking... "Was it page 66 that I kept chanting in my head?" Not working.

    Anyways, old follower stopping through.

  9. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

  10. I think juggling the right kinds of books has been the problem for me. Some books just go faster than others.
